THE FAT TUESDAYS are a fortunate stroke of serendipity.
One day I was driving through the Lowcountry on my way to Beaufort. I came around a curve in the road, the sun fractured, prismed, through the corner of the windshield, blinding me for a second.
I regained control; it was the serendipity of the flash that motivated the Poincaré method and over time the gestation of THE FAT TUESDAYS.
The fractals–these serendipitous moments in the works, are what felt right, they fit. There were many failures but what remained after long periods of introspection are snippets of luck.
